Unit 3 Reflection – Wiki is the winner for me! May 31, 2011

(Aside) Too much information out there!!

After spending the past couple of weeks playing with Diigo, blogs & wiki’s I find myself overwhelmed by the vast number of learning tools, social networks& bookmarking sites available out there on the web. Of them all, wiki is the winner for me. With a wiki you can create many linked pages, store & share all forms of information, present & share work, collaborate with many different people, express your own creativity… and the rest. Both Wikispaces & PB works are used in our school library program for students, teachers and classes to present and share their work, to experiment with web 2.0 tools like prezi, wallwisher, avatars etc.. I think, of all the tools out there, you choose the one that best suits you and your needs. Too many options (tools) can generate more work – updating, checking, responding. In a time poor workplace, keeping it simple for me is best.
